Friday found me in South Seattle at the Showbox SoDo for Product Runway. What exactly is Product Runway you ask? They put it best as: “interior designers and architects flaunt their creativity and technical skills by producing couture fashion constructed out of interior finish materials.” In my words, pretty cool and amazing stuff man. The Emcee for the evening was Darnell Sure, the founder of Girl Power Hour. There were also a few GPH members in attendance, as well as Darcy Camden on the judging panel. Darcy looked amazing in her Madina Vadache purple dress with amazing necklace.
The show began with a performance by the Massive Monkees, a Seattle-based breakdancing group. Next came the night’s emcee Danrell Sue in a frivolous frock that turned into a smashing ballgown with the pull of a cord! Each model then graced the runway with some amazing feats in industrial clothing I must say. Darnell kept the night fun, homorous, and rolling right along.
