Get Hitched Give Hope | 10.28.10 | Four Seasons, Seattle WA

This event hits close to home. My mom is currently a 10 year Stage I breast cancer survivor. My mother-in-law is a one year survivor.

What I have learned about breast cancer:
-It never really goes away
-It comes back in nasty forms, such as metastasizing in your bones
-Just because you have one cancer, doesn’t mean you can’t get another…

My mom has all of the above. What is worse than breast cancer though (if this is possible) is ovarian cancer. She recently got diagnosed with Stage IIIC and had to have a full hysterectomy just last month. The chances of this cancer coming back? 90%. Not good news. So now we start chemo… again.
