Temple, TX Wedding | Karen & David | 07-31-10

I had the honor of being the photographer at my cousin Karen’s wedding over the weekend in Temple, TX. Karen & David live in Wisconsin, along with baby Daphne (photos to come shortly). David’s family lives in TX, and Karen’s family all over: CA, OR, WA, UT, and Indiana. We all caught up over the weekend at many wonderful events. The daily high temperature was around 100 degrees, so everything was held indoors.

Karen wore our grandma “Ninny’s” pearl necklace, along with a beautiful garter hand-knit by her mother, and Jessica Simpson shoes! Baby Daphne also had a naming ceremony take place right after the marriage ceremony, to which she wore a gorgeous christening gown hand-made by Karen’s mom, and my Aunt: Peggy. What a doll!

The marriage ceremony took place at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was quick, moving, and complete with a reading from an iPad! The couple danced the night away, fed each other cake, and David played his new wife a song on the guitar and sang along, enjoy!

Amanda, I just looked at all the photos. They’re wonderful! There are a number I would like to have as prints. Thanks for getting the one of Karen in her shawl, BTW!

Of course, my favorite picture is the shoes, pearls and garter.
